Jerry "Tambora" Garcia is a Chicago-born, Arizona-based Latin, urban, and multicultural producer, songwriter and composer with a cultural background from his Mexican and Colombian parents. As a minor, Jerry found an interest in the classic rock and roll sounds of the American oldies from the era of the 50s and 60s, and in his teenage years, he became familiar with the later sounds of 70s funk and 80s freestyle. As a young adult, he has been influenced by the South American and Latin American sounds of all genres of music, including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata and Vallenato. - When it comes to Jerry's production sound and compositions, what has given him his niche is having an appreciation for the influences from eastern world countries like Myanmar, Indonesia, Asia, and Pakistan, as well as instrumentation from Arab and Indian countries. You may notice that he may combine influences that would normally never blend on a recording. One of his favorite quotes is, "My goal is to add the proper amount of spices from other parts of the world, combine them with the Latin flavor, and finally give the track that urban THUMP.
